MAINE SCHOOL ADMNINSTRATIVE DISTRICT #27

ADULT AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION

MISSION STATEMENT

We believe that the communities served by AOS #95/MSAD #27 are among the best places in Maine to live, work, and raise a family and that life-long learning, education, and training are the keys to quality of life and to community, economic, and workforce development.

As a result of these beliefs, we will consistently endeavor to provide all citizens of northwestern Aroostook County equitable access to high-quality adult literacy, family literacy, high school completion, college and career transition, workforce development, and personal enrichment educational programs that empower them to experience success and fulfillment as parents/family members, workers/employees, and citizens/community members.

Toward these ends, we will design and implement services and programs delivered at various times and locations by instructional staff who demonstrate not only the professional experience and qualifications, but also the personal qualities necessary to build and maintain a learning community where all participants, learners and staff alike, are actively engaged and can express, with confidence and conviction, our program motto and vision: “We’re looking to the future with hope, because we’re taking the time to learn.”
